National Parks Programs.
The National Park Service Outer Banks Group has announced the summer program schedules running until Labor Day. Wright Brothers National Memorial, Fort Raleigh National Historic Site and Cape Hatteras National Seashore have programs and hands-on activities for everyone, from climbing a lighthouse to learning about flight. 473-2111.
Art Exhibit.
Photographers Michael Halminski, Eve Turek and Ray Matthews will exhibit their work highlighting the weather and the sky through Aug. 30. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Art Gallery at Roanoke Island Festival Park. Free. 475-1500.
Photo Exhibit.
"Bruce Roberts Photojournalist: 50 Years of Capturing Change" is on exhibit at the Outer Banks History Center Gallery on Roanoke Island. Roberts has won numerous awards, and his photos have appeared in more than 50 books. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The History Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. Art Exhibit.
The Dare County Arts Council features two exhibits. "The Man Show: Men Behind the Lens" includes the photography of Chris Bickford, Bill Lease and Jeff Linn.
