Floyd’s 1921: Southern
Comfort, Charm & Tradition
Step into Floyd’s and be ready to
experience southern hospitality at its finest. The restaurant is
named after Chef Floyd Olmstead himself—he thought he’d make it
easy for his loyal followers to find him, as he was previously
the executive chef at the Royal Pavillion Resort—and the 1921
comes from the year the old southern home was built. Floyd and
his wife Shana opened the restaurant on April 19, 2005 and have
been serving comfort food in comfortable surroundings ever
since.
Since they pride themselves on being “a
taste of the south”, everything they do has a southern-style
twist to it. Some of the mouthwatering favorites include the
Fried Green Tomatoes, the High Cotton Crab Cakes served over
creamed spinach, the Filet and Oyster Florentine, just to name a
few. Don’t get too full on the favorites without leaving room
for some Bourbon Pecan Pie, it’s a drink and dessert all wrapped
up in one delicious package!
When you’re craving some down-home southern
flavor along with fun, comfortable surroundings and excellent
service, Floyd’s is the local favorite. Floyd’s offers a great,
full-service bar with all ABC permits. Looking to bring some
southern flavor into your next event or occasion? Floyd’s also
offers on and off site catering.
Floyd’s is located in the heart of downtown
Morehead City, just off Arendell Street at 4th and
Bridges streets and is open 7 days a week for lunch, Tuesday
through Sunday for dinner. To go orders are also available.
