McCurdy's Restaurant & Deck
Great Food, Great View

If you’re looking for a relaxed, casual, comfortable, laid-back waterfront dining experience; look no further than the Atlantic Beach Causeway. McCurdy’s Restaurant & Deck on Moonlight Bay is a welcome treat to those looking for “great food, great view,” which also happens to be McCurdy’s motto. The restaurant is nestled near a marina, which gives the dining deck its cozy, comfy atmosphere and of course its beautiful sunset views right on the water.

Co-owners Ann McCurdy and Dan Kolenick bought the restaurant, formerly Loughry’s Landing, in October of 2006. McCurdy’s made its debut on March 15, 2007. Offering both lunch and dinner, the restaurant specializes in seafood, certified Angus steaks, pasta and homemade desserts. It is also known for its charcoal grill which adds another layer of flavor to many of its offerings. In addition, McCurdy’s offers a large beer selection featuring ten beers on tap along with an extensive offering of bottled beers.

McCurdy’s lunch menu already has some stand-out favorites. The Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Tomato & Basil Panini incorporates the freshest of ingredients sandwiched between slices of toasted focaccia bread. The McCurdy Burger is a Black Angus beef burger slathered with barbecue sauce, topped with bacon, cheddar cheese and an onion ring, then flavored to perfection on the charcoal grill.

It’s notable to mention that both Ann and Dan hail from eastern Pennsylvania, close to the Philadelphia area, and have brought some of that area authenticity to their Philly Cheesesteak, which has juicy strips of Ribeye steak and sautéed onions topped with your choice of Provolone, American, or Cheez Whiz. You can even add sautéed mushrooms and green peppers for no extra charge. All of the above menu items are served with a choice of homemade potato salad, pasta salad, French fries or steak fries.

McCurdy’s expansive dinner menu includes many appetizer favorites such as Blackened Shrimp Quesadillas, Oysters Rockerfeller, homemade Crab and Shrimp Dip, Tuna Bites and the ever-popular Chicken Wings. There are many delectable entrées to choose from including Salmon En Croute, which is the chef’s recommendation. The chef uses Atlantic salmon, lump crabmeat and asparagus and wraps it all in puff pastry and bakes it until golden brown, then tops it with Hollandaise sauce. The Black Forest Filet Mignon is grilled to your liking, topped with lump crabmeat and served with a caper cream sauce. Other popular entrées include Lobster Ravioli, Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine and Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken. Don’t forget to leave room for one of those homemade desserts!

Whatever your palate;s pleasure, you’re sure to find it here at McCurdy’s Restaurant & Deck on Moonlight Bay, 505 Atlantic Beach Causeway. Open for lunch and dinner, closed on Mondays. Details, 252-808-3663.
