RuckJohns, A Restaurant & More:
From Their Family to Yours

RuckerJohns restaurants remain a family-owned group, while still growing to reach more and more families in North Carolina. RuckerJohns celebrates 20 years of serving great food in February 2008.

Chris Johns leads the family business into new territory as they open their third restaurant in December 2007. Polly Johns and Deborah Rucker try to make life a little easier for Chris when they add their areas of "assistance" (if wife and mother-in-law spell help). Chris is quick to say that "family" to RuckerJohns means all those valuable people who make RuckerJohns work on a daily basis to make the families they serve keep coming back.

So what does keep RuckerJohns’ customers coming back? The RJ family likes to say it is the “more” in their restaurant’s full name… “RuckerJohns, A Restaurant and More!” When they decided to do business in the 80s, they wanted to do the extras for customers. They say, "We go beyond the norm," and it has become their standard.

The prep work necessary to make their freshly fixed specialties is a huge undertaking. The soups, dressings, salads, sauces, cutting, slicing, dicing and chopping completed every day gives the extra fine touches to all of the fare served up at RuckerJohns.

So what are RuckerJohns’ favorites? Well, that depends on who you are asking. The menu at RuckerJohns presents Prime Rib, steaks, ribs, chicken, seafood , pasta and specialty pizzas, but that is only tucked between a scrumptious appetizer, soup and salad beginnings and its fantastic endings of desserts.

Oh, and did you know that kids find RuckerJohns to be one of their favorites, too? They get to order their special menu items, and the chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese selections are also popular with their parents!

Chris, Polly, Deborah and all of the rest of the RuckerJohns family are proud to serve the best food, wines and ambiance in their establishments. They appeal to the special event crowd or to the soup and salad lover; but then that is what makes a great restaurant, and RuckerJohns is just that. They are open daily with a full-service lunch and dinner menu.

Located locally at Emerald Plantation in Emerald Isle (252-354-2413), stop by and experience this or all of the RuckerJohns restaurants for yourself. Call 252-354-5700 for directions to the three locations in Emerald Isle, Wilmington and now Greenville, newly opened in December.
