Betsy's Milky Way® Cake

8 Milky Way® Bars (Regular)
2 sticks margarine
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2½ cups flour (plain)
½ teaspoon baking soda
1¼ cup buttermilk or 1¼ cup whole milk with 1¼ tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup chopped pecans

Procedure: Melt Milky Way® bars & 1 stick of margarine, set aside. Cream sugar and 1 stick of margarine, add eggs, flour and buttermilk with soda mixed in. Add melted candy mixture & pecans. Mix thoroughly. Bake in tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Note: I have not had much luck using the Milky Way Lite Bars.

Milky Way® Cake Icing

1¼ cup sugar
½ cup canned milk
Cook these to soft ball stage
add:
3 oz. chocolate chips
½ cup marshmallow cream
½ stick margarine
Beat until firm enough to spread
Licking the icing bowl has been known to cause severe sugar highs!
