Catering to Your Every Desire - Great food is the highlight of every great get together, be it a family reunion, a wedding reception or a special birthday or holiday party. There are so many reasons to celebrate on the Crystal Coast, and several of the area's celebrated restaurants cater to your every desire when it comes to a memorable menu.
Beaufort Grocery Company, with its celebrated executive chef Charles Park, is dedicated to providing the finest foods and services for area events including weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal luncheons, family reunions, anniversaries, birthday parties or even just because.
Located in Beaufort's Historic District on Queen Street, the Beaufort Grocery Company has brought the subtle grace and charm reminiscent of a French Country Bistro to the Crystal Coast since 1991. Park, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and member of the prestigious Chaine des Rotisseurs, with his wife Wendy, established the restaurant which has garnered a reputation for fabulous food.
Each fall, Coaster Magazine takes a moment to reflect on summer with its annual Readers' Awards. Since beginning in 1996, the Coaster Readers' Awards have honored the best shops, recreation stops, restaurants, vacation rentals and more on the suggestion of you, the reader. This year was no different as we received surveys mailed to us from all around the country and online at nccoast.com ... the source of more than 400 of this year's submissions.
As you can imagine, we had a lot of counting to do.
Of course, that's a good thing. It not only means our readers want to be a part of Coaster's legacy, but part of promoting businesses along the Crystal Coast as well. Without tourism, many of these businesses wouldn't be here and without these businesses, many tourists might not want to be here either. And for that we are thankful.
Now take a look at who won and if you voted for them, pat yourself on the back for helping them along the way. And if you didn't, make sure to pay the winner a visit to find out what all the fuss is about.
Thanks again and we'll see you next year.
